OF SCANNING, COMPUTATION, CANVASSING AND CERTIFICATION OF ELECTION RETURNS
FOR THE
NOVEMBER 2023 MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION
SCANNING OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS: The Atkinson County Board of Elections will begin scanning Absentee By-Mail ballots November 7, 2023, Election Day, at 7:00 PM.
After Election Day any remaining absentee ballots and any provisional ballots cast in the November 7, 2023 Municipal General Election will be scanned beginning at 5pm on Monday, November 13, 2023.
EARLY COMPUTATION: On Election Day, November 7, 2023, the Atkinson County Elections office will begin tabulating absentee ballots at 7:00 PM, at 664 Austin Ave. E. Results will not be available until after 7pm on Election Day.
CERTIFICATION: Notice is hereby given that computation, canvassing and certification of the returns of votescast in the November 7, 2023, General/Special Elections will take place in the Atkinson County Elections office, on Monday, November 13, 2023, beginning at 5pm.
All events are open to viewing by the public and will be conducted at the Elections office, 664 Austin Ave. E, Pearson Ga.

LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-374.6 (b) and O.C.G.A. 21-2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the preparation and testing of voting system components to be used in the December 5th, 2023 Municipal Run-Off Elections for the City of Willacoochee, will begin at 9:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, or as soon as the database is received, at the Atkinson County Elections office located at 664 Austin Ave E, Pearson, Ga.
Preparation and testing will continue from day to day until complete. Representatives of political parties and bodies, news media, and the public are permitted to observe such tests.
